The team meticulously differentiated feasible ideas from the infeasible, eventually focusing on a select few before deciding on a compact air purification device. Deep dives into the technology behind the concept, especially air ionizers, through detailed AI-assisted research, solidified the choice, underpinning the development of a pocket-sized, potent solution to air quality concerns.

The product development phase for the Device was a fascinating journey. AI-driven insights into the target market shaped the device's minimalist design and basic functionality. Size considerations and component arrangement were key, leading to a detailed blueprint. Material choice, legalities, certifications for international sales, user experience, ionizer strength, and safety considerations, including effects on individuals with heart monitors, were all meticulously researched. AI also highlighted the necessity for independent laboratory verification to substantiate product claims, ensuring both user safety and company liability were thoroughly addressed.

In Motion embarked on a mission to harness AI, for creating a business concept with a profound societal impact. The venture aimed to blend innovation with practical solutions to everyday challenges, with AI prompted to ideate and explore concepts to enhance the human experience. Without imposing any restrictions, the team allowed the AI to freely explore a wide range of ideas, from realistic to the bounds of imagination, leading to an exciting array of potential innovations for improving daily life.


Supplier Sourcing & Manufacturing


In the supplier sourcing and manufacturing phase, finding a manufacturer who could meet the device's specific requirements was crucial. A specialised manufacturer in China, known for industrial air purification systems, was identified. The collaboration emphasised material selection, especially the need for high-quality electronics, ionizing needles & other components essential for the air ionizer's functionality, including acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS - same thing LEGO is made from!) for durability and safety. The focus was on the supplier's reputation, cost-effectiveness, and the ability to manufacture the innovative design, facilitated by AI-driven inquiries and analyses.

Air Shield Mini is Born

After finalising the manufacturer, undergoing product iterations & sample testing, the focus shifted to naming our neat, and fully functional little device. 

"Air Shield Mini" was chosen from numerous possibilities, considering URLs, psychological impact, and brand identity, all guided by AI's vast naming explorations which again, ran into the hundreds of iterations.

Website & Marketing

AI played a crucial role in website and marketing strategy development. It assisted in visual concept ideation, content creation in layman's terms, and website layout decisions. AI also contributed to explainer video scriptwriting, marketing material suggestions, and targeted marketing strategies for identified demographics, including recommendations for user-generated content and video formats optimised for platforms like TikTok and Facebook. Sample distribution among diverse groups helped create authentic use cases, enriching the brand's narrative.



Media Attention 

Leveraging AI, In Motion crafted a media outreach script to highlight Air Shield Mini's innovation, targeting journalists and tech outlets. The strategy was a success, leading to significant features including Business Insider and a major London publication, among others, driving substantial traffic to the website and bolstering the product's visibility.


Results

The Air Shield Mini was successfully launched with full certification and independent lab verification. Its market introduction was supported by a well-developed website, comprehensive marketing strategies, and an international shipping framework, effectively expanding its reach. In Motion recognised this initiative as a landmark success, showcasing the effective integration of technological innovation with practical health solutions.
