In Motion
Service: Startup Launch
Project: Object Astra
Background
Object Astra was an in-house project by In Motion, born from a long-held idea by our founder, Christiaan Trahms. We set out to build a platform that would act as a matchmaker between entrepreneurs with innovative ideas and the skilled professionals they needed to bring these visions to life. Object Astra aimed to bridge the gap between ideation and execution, serving as an experimental hub for alternative start-up practices and methodologies.
Our Approach
In Motion led the development of Object Astra from concept to execution, designing a technology platform that empowered entrepreneurs by connecting them with the right experts. We focused on refining the user experience to foster meaningful collaborations between visionaries and skilled professionals, helping entrepreneurs navigate early-stage challenges and streamline their project development.
Our efforts were two-fold:
Platform Development: We built and launched an MVP in just 3-4 months, facilitating seamless connections between entrepreneurs and experts.
Experimental Hub: Object Astra also served as an environment for refining startup practices, allowing us to test and explore alternative approaches to launching and scaling tech businesses.
Achievements
Fast MVP Development: The platform’s MVP was built in 3-4 months, showcasing In Motion’s ability to deliver rapid, high-quality results in a competitive landscape.

The coverage spanned across the UK, Europe, South Africa, Korea, Sweden, and the US, establishing the platform’s presence in the global startup ecosystem.
Successful Exit: Within 1.5 years, Object Astra secured £500,000 in initial investment and was successfully sold to a significant American firm. This swift exit underscored the platform’s market viability and innovative business model.
